EDWARDSVILLE — A woman alleges AT&T offered her a promotional deal for new cell phones and service and then fraudulently failed to honor the terms of the agreement.

Latisa Hediger filed a complaint Oct. 18 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Prime Comms Retail LLC and AT&T Mobility Corporation, alleging fraud and other claims.

According to her complaint, Hediger went to the defendant's store in Highland to purchase new cell phones and cellular data services. She claims the manager of the store told her she would receive a $1,000 credit toward a new phone if she traded her existing phones and signed up for a new line of service. Hediger claims she accepted the offer and traded in four cell phones. She then purchased four new cell phones and was told that her new monthly bill would be $216.68. However, Hediger alleges she received a bill in September 2020 and October 2020, for $1,174.99. She claims the defendants have failed to honor the terms of her services per the written quote and the promotion she was promised. She alleges AT&T eventually cut off her service.

Hediger seeks compensation of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Nicole Mollet and Steven Wallace of The Silver Lake Group LTD in Highland.
