EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County man alleges a driver who failed to yield the right of way at an intersection in Alton caused a collision, resulting in injuries.

James Jay Barron filed a complaint in the Madison County Circuit Court against Kimberly A. Stimac, alleging negligence.

Barron alleges in his complaint that on Aug. 30, Stimac failed to yield the right of way while driving her vehicle at the intersection of Oakwood Avenue and Alby in Alton. Barron alleges that Stimac's negligent driving caused a collision in which he suffered broken bones, the loss of use of his vehicle, rental car costs and other expenses. He claims Stimac received a traffic citation for causing the collision and violating traffic laws. He claims she "owed a duty not to proceed into an intersection without first assessing" and yielding the right of way.

Barron seeks compensation of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. He is represented by Attorney Lee Barron in Chesterfield, Mo.
