Lawsuits

EDWARDSVILLE —  A woman claims she suffered injuries after a Collinsville bar failed to stop an intoxicated person from attacking patrons.

Tara Wilson filed a complaint Jan. 19 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Friday's South Inc., doing business as The Red Bar, and Michael Strong, alleging battery and negligence.

Wilson alleges in her complaint that she was a patron at the Red Bar on Belt Line Road in Collinsville on Jan. 18, 2020. She claims that Strong, who was also a patron, became intoxicated and began to attack others at the bar. She claims Strong's actions caused her to fall and suffer injuries.

Wilson alleges that Red Bar and its staff should have known Strong was intoxicated. She also claims the establishment failed to provide "adequate security" to ensure safety for patrons, failed to properly supervise its employees and failed to and stop any misconduct.

Wilson seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Lloyd Cueto of The Law Office of Lloyd Cueto PC in Belleville and Christopher Cueto and James Radicliffe of The Law Office of Christopher Cueto LTD in Belleville.
