HUSCH BLACKWELL LLP: Speaker, "Title IX: How the New Regulations Will Impact Our Practice," ACUHO-I 2020 Virtual Summit

Husch Blackwell LLP recently issued the following announcement.

Scott Schneider will participate in the panel discussion, "Title IX: How the New Regulations Will Impact Our Practice," at the ACUHO-I 2020 Virtual Summit on Tuesday, June 23, 2020.

On May 19, 2020, the Department of Education (DOE) released its final rule for the implementation of Title IX for both universities and K-12 schools. The new rule, which goes into effect on August 14, 2020, includes many changes that will impact student affairs practice, including a redefinition of “sexual harassment;” requiring live hearings with cross-examination; limiting investigations to those filed through formal campus processes and within their own programs/activities; etc. This panel includes professionals who work in the areas of Title IX compliance, student conduct, and campus housing and residence life. Join this discussion on the broader implications of these new regulations and to gain insights on how they might be implemented in various campus contexts.
