TorHoerman Law will hold its 6th annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway at the Alton Salvation Army Citadel, located at 525 Albany St. in Alton. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m.
The firm started the turkey giveaway six years ago when it learned that 12 percent of Madison County families have difficulty putting food on their table every day. The goal was to make sure that residents from these food insecure homes would be able to share in the great American tradition of a Thanksgiving turkey meal.
Throught the TorHoerman Law Employee Foundation, as well as contributions from a number of local businesses and community members, the effort helps provide 500 turkeys to members of the Alton community this holiday season.
