Attorney Tom Haine and his co-author, Cris Stevens, were awarded the Missouri Bar Foundation’s 2019 W. Oliver Rasch Award for their article on conducting internal corporate investigations, which was published in the May-June 2018 issue of The Journal of The Missouri Bar.

The Rasch award is given each year to acknowledge exceptional articles published in the journal.

Haine, an associate at HeplerBroom in Edwardsville, focuses his law practice on commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on internal investigations, class actions, and appeals.

Prior to joining HeplerBroom, he served as a law clerk for Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Raymond W. Gruender. He has also served as a captain in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps, where he was a military prosecutor at Fort Drum, New York, and Fort Meade, Maryland.

In addition, he served as special assistant U.S. attorney in upstate New York and Baltimore. He continues to serve as a captain in the U.S. Army Individual Ready Reserve.

Stevens, Haine’s co-author, is currently the deputy attorney general for the Criminal Division at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office.
