Earlier this summer, Jennifer Martin was a featured speaker at the 47th Annual Missouri Waste Control Coalition Conference. Her lecture, which she co-presented with Mary Juan of Environmental Operations, Inc., provided an overview of vapor intrusion, how it’s assessed, how it’s regulated by the U.S. EPA, and its current regulation status in Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. Their presentation, which included case studies, also included a summary of sampling and analysis techniques, as well as a discussion of mitigation strategies.
Martin, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office, focuses her practice on environmental law and real estate. Prior to entering private practice, she was an Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Control Division of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. She is listed as an Illinois Leading Lawyer and speaks and writes regularly on environmental law. Martin is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and is admitted to try cases in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois and the Eastern District of Missouri.
