CLARK HILL: Clark Hill Attorney Scott Cruz Appeared on CLTV to Discuss Recreational Marijuana Legislation Effect on Employers

Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on June 24.

Scott Cruz, Member in Clark Hill’s Labor & Employment group, recently appeared on “Politics Tonight” on CLTV to discuss the legalization of recreational marijuana in Illinois, and how it will affect employers. Scott mentions that the legalization of recreational marijuana is confined to the home of the user, and that it will remain illegal to smoke in public and even some private places, such as hotels and the workplace. Scott also discusses how employers may need to refine their employment policies to protect them against recreational marijuana use in the workplace.

Scott Cruz represents both public and private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including civil litigation and preventative counseling. Scott assists employers in drafting employment policies, employment agreements, and non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.
