MAYER BROWN: Nine Mayer Brown partners recognized as 2019 “IP Stars” by Managing Intellectual Property

Mayer Brown issued the following announcement on June 5.

Mayer Brown announced that nine partners across five of the firm’s global offices were recognized as “IP Stars” in the 2019 edition of Managing Intellectual Property’s “World IP Handbook and Survey,” an annual analysis of the IP market. The lawyers were nominated by their peers and clients; final inclusion was based on extensive research, including surveys and interviews of IP professionals. Three Mayer Brown partners – Lisa Ferri, Joseph Mahoney and John Mancini – were recognized in two categories.

The Mayer Brown 2019 IP stars are:

Patent Stars – Jamie Beaber, Jim Ferguson, Lisa Ferri, Alan Grimaldi, Gary Hnath, Joseph Mahoney, John Mancini and David Wang; and

Trademark Stars – Lisa Ferri, Gabriela Kennedy, Joseph Mahoney and John Mancini.

In addition, Mayer Brown received top rankings in the Copyright & Related Rights and Trademark Contentious categories in Hong Kong. The firm was ranked nationally in the US in the following categories: Copyright & Related Rights, International Trade Commission Litigation, Life Sciences, Patent Contentious and Patent Trial and Appeal Board Litigation.

Mayer Brown was also “recommended” in the Copyright & Related Rights category for New York; Copyright (foreign firms) category for China; Patent Contentious category for California, Illinois, New York and Washington DC; and the Trademark category for Illinois.
