Chambers USA has named 17 Clark Hill attorneys “Leaders in their Field” in the 2019 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Chambers, a world-renowned organization, identifies and ranks the most outstanding law firms and lawyers based on peer and client reviews. Law firms and individual lawyers are ranked in bands from 1-6, with 1 being the best. The qualities on which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client. A 'Senior Statesman' is a lawyer who no longer works hands-on with the same intensity but who, by virtue of close links with major clients, remains pivotal to the firm’s success. Daniel J. Bretz – Bretz is ranked in Band 1 for Labor & Employment (Michigan). He is Co-Chair of Clark Hill’s Labor & Employment Law Practice Group and represents major private employers in all aspects of labor and employment law.

William D. Darling – Darling is recognized as a Senior Statesmen for Healthcare (Texas). He has extensive experience in the development and implementation of physician/hospital-related managed care organizations and advises healthcare clients on all facets of the industry.

William B. Dunn – Dunn is recognized as a Senior Statesmen for Real Estate (Michigan). He specializes in real property, secured transactions and related business practice, as well as legal ethics and professional responsibility.

Edward C. Hammond – Hammond is ranked in Band 3 for Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation (Michigan). His practice primarily involves employee benefits and executive compensation. It includes drafting, implementing, analyzing and terminating defined benefit pension plans and defined contribution, profit sharing and 401(k) plans, as well as Section 403(b) plans (tax-sheltered annuities).
