Hughes Socol Piers issued the following announcement on Feb. 21.
Deane Brown was recently featured in the Spotlight section of The Catalyst, of the Illinois State Bar Association’s (ISBA) Standing Committee on Women and the Law, where she shared a few pieces of advice to working moms and learning how to find a work-life-balance.
Ms. Brown is a new Shareholder at Hughes Socol Piers Resnick Dym, Ltd. and a member of the ISBA’s Standing Committee on Women and the Law. During her interview, Ms. Brown discussed her involvement in different organizations and talks about some of the issues that are most important to her.
“I went to law school to help people, and I do that every day. When you lose a job, it can be very difficult, as you have lost your ability to support yourself and your family. Oftentimes, my clients have worked for many years for a company and it is a very emotional situation. I do a lot of handholding as well as effective advocacy. I also really like working with executives, as they are generally quite accomplished. Many of my clients become my friends,” said Ms. Brown during her interview while discussing what she enjoys the most about her practice.
