Edwardsville—Three Heyl Royster attorneys were recently named in the annual Illinois Super Lawyers publication for 2019.

Kent Plotner, who is a managing partner and shareholder, was named to the Super Lawyer Class Action/Mass Torts section. Barry Noeltner was listed under the Civil Litigation category for his work as a defense attorney. Neil Schonert earned a place as a Super Lawyer Rising Star for Personal Injury Products: Defense.

To qualify for the Rising Star category, a lawyer must be under 40 years of age or have been practicing law for ten years or less.

The selection process for Super Lawyers involves independent research as well as being nominated and evaluated by other fellow lawyers in the state. Only 5 percent of lawyers in Illinois are selected for Super Lawyers, while just 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state are given the honor of Super Lawyer Rising Star.

The Super Lawyers publication is owned by Thomson Reuters.

Despite these odds, 19 attorneys from Heyl Royster were appointed to the Illinois Super Lawyers and Super Lawyers/Rising Stars list for 2019.

Heyl Royster has been providing legal services to clients for over 100 years and has offices in Illinois (Peoria, Champaign, Chicago, Edwardsville, Rockford, and Springfield) as well as St. Louis.
