Armstrong Teasdale Partner Richard Brophy has been named leader of the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice area. In this role, he will lead a team of dozens of intellectual property professionals in defending our clients' mission critical assets in today’s fiercely competitive market.
The role is reflective of Richard’s extensive experience, which includes many multimillion-dollar judgments for clients in challenging venues across the country. His practice encompasses many areas of complex civil litigation, but he focuses primarily on disputes involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and antitrust violations.
Drawing on his expansive background as an aerospace engineer and computer scientist, Richard is often sought by clients based on his ability to quickly become knowledgeable in the complex technologies at issue. In addition to providing strategic defense to clients who become litigation targets, Richard has demonstrated a talent for enforcing his clients’ intellectual property.
