Bryan Cave issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.
Lexology, one of the leading publishers of legal news and information with more than 350,000 readers, identified Boulder Partner David Zetoony as the top “Legal Influencer” in the field of cross-border technology, media and telecommunications law – an area which includes compliance with international data privacy standards and norms. Zetoony was selected from a pool of experts from more than 100 law firms. Lexology previously identified Zetoony in the third quarter of 2018 as being the top “Legal Influencer” in the field of European technology, media and telecommunications law.
Leader of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner’s global Data Privacy and Security Practice, Zetoony is regularly called on by some of the world’s most complex organizations to confront their United States and European privacy and security challenges. He has helped hundreds of clients design or validate privacy programs to comply with the GDPR and United States law, and has navigated complex data security incidents and security breaches on behalf of numerous clients. He also has successfully defended companies’ privacy and security practices before the Federal Trade Commission and other regulatory agencies.
Zetoony recently published a book on European data privacy law with the American Bar Association. He was awarded JD Supra awards in cybersecurity in 2017 and 2018 and was named a “Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal in 2016.
