Sivia Law office offering legal packages online; Prices start at $69

EDWARDSVILLE – A local law firm is using technology to bring legal services to the masses, offering online legal packages.

Sivia Law is now offering some of its less-complicated services online. This is the latest change for the firm, which has rebranded itself with a shorter name but enhanced offerings and debuted a new website.

“New and former clients will now be able to create some of our simpler legal documents at their own convenience,” said Todd Sivia in a press release from the firm. “I’ve wanted to bring easier access to these items for quite some time and I’m excited to get the site launched.”

According to the firm, clients can get a package of online documents and customize the amount of legal assistance they receive.

The packages start at $69, with cost depending on the package level and type of service a client chooses.

Packages are available for forming a limited liability company or corporation, deeds, lease agreements, wills, power of attorney and prenuptial agreements, the firm's press release states. The firm plans to expand its online offerings to eventually include a gun owners' protection plan and child guardian selection program.

Attorneys at Sivia Law are licensed in both Illinois and Missouri, and currently offer their services online and in-person to residents of those states, the release states.

"Higher-end packages even offer a 30-minute phone call with one of the attorneys as part of your purchase," according to the release.

“It is important to know that unlike LegalZoom and other services like them, who might hire lawyers, we are a law firm,” Sivia said in the release. “We are bound by the legal ethics associated with providing legal services.”

Even though simple legal documents can be secured online, personalized legal services still should be handled by an attorney, the law firm advised in its release.
