BELLEVILLE – A Collinsville man is seeking damages from two Fairview Heights individuals after a collision on an Interstate 64 off ramp.
John Zumwalt filed a complaint on Dec. 7 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Henisha Desai and Ashish Desai, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 25, 2017, he was restrained driver in a motor vehicle stopped at the off ramp at exit 12 on Interstate 64 when defendant Henisha Desai allegedly failed to stop her vehicle, which was owned by defendant Ashish Desai, causing a collision with the plaintiff's vehicle.
As a result, Zumwalt claims he suffered physical injuries.
The plaintiff alleges Henisha Desai failed to maintain a proper lookout, failed to properly manage and control the vehicle and failed to stop.
The plaintiff requests and trial by jury and seeks judgment for monetary award for a sum of more than $50,000 and costs of suit.
