Motorist sues over Edwardsville Road collision

Car accident 39

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist claims her vehicle spun off the roadway following an Edwardsville Road collision.

Margaret L. Manley filed a complaint on Nov. 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against John A. Kleeman, alleging he failed to exercise reasonable care and caution in the operation of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 5, 2016, she was driving her Chevrolet TRAX sports utility vehicle eastbound along the 300 block of E. Edwardsville Road when Kleeman collided with the passenger side of her vehicle, causing it to spin and run off the roadway.

As a result, Manley claims she sustained physical injuries, great pain and incurred medical expenses.

Manley alleges Kleeman failed to yield the right-of-way, failed to properly emerge from a private drive and failed to bring vehicle to a stop before causing a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs of suit.

She is represented by Stephanie A. Black of Beatty & Motil in Glen Carbon.
