BELLEVILLE – A driver is seeking damages after a collision in Belleville forced her off the road.
Alice Hill filed a complaint on Nov. 3 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Daniel Franke, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Hill alleges that on May 8, 2016, she was driving southbound on North Illinois Street near its intersection with Lebanon Avenue when Franke's vehicle came into contact with her vehicle and she was forced off the road.
As a result, Hill claims she sustained serious injuries, disability and was forced to seek medical treatment.
The plaintiff alleges Franke failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle, failed to reduce speed and operated his motor vehicle without keeping a proper and sufficient lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for an amount of more than the jurisdictional limits of the law division of St. Clair County, plus costs of suit.
