Motorist alleges injuries from rear-end collision

Car accident 44

BELLEVILLE — A Dupo woman claims she was rear-ended on Triple Lakes Road.

Melissa Baur filed a complaint on Oct. 6 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Christopher Beever, alleging violation of the Illinois Vehicle code.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 17, 2016, she was driving westbound on Triple Lakes Road near the intersection of Stolle Road when her vehicle was rear-ended by Beever's vehicle.

As a result, Bauer claims she suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Beever failed to keep a careful lookout, failed to concede right of way to avoid an accident and failed to operate his vehicle at a speed reasonable and proper.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

She is represented by James W. Eason of The Eason Law Firm, LLC in St. Louis.
