Godfrey man seeks damages after allegedly being stabbed in neck

EDWARDSVILLE – A Godfrey man is seeking damages after he was allegedly stabbed in the neck on Christmas in 2015.

Tyler Reynolds filed a complaint on Oct. 10 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Michael Schmidt.

According to the complaint, Reynolds alleges that on Dec. 25, 2015, he was on Chantel Drive when he was allegedly approached by Schmidt from behind and stabbed in the neck. 

The plaintiff claims he was severely and permanently injured, has lost wages and incurred medical bills.

Reynolds alleges Schmidt intended to cause bodily harm to another individual. 

The plaintiff seeks judgment in an amount of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit. 

He is represented by Allan L. Napp of Schrempf, Kelly & Napp LTD in Alton.
