BELLEVILLE – A driver and passenger are seeking damages from a Belleville woman after a collision in Freeburg.
Ryan A. Stone and Michael W. Schmid filed a complaint on Sept. 21 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Andreann L. Spaur, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 1, 2015, they were lawfully traveling northbound on State Street near the intersection with Oak Brook Drive when defendant Spaur turned left into oncoming traffic, striking their vehicle.
As a result, plaintiffs claim they suffered physical injuries, lost wages and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiffs allege Spaur failed to yield to the right-of-way; failed to check, observe or appreciate the relevant traffic before turning left; and drove her vehicle in an unsafe and erratic manner.
The plaintiffs seek judgment in an amount of more than $50,000, plus costs and any other relief the court deems just and proper.
