EDWARDSVILLE – A passenger is seeking damages for alleged injuries sustained in a Peoria collision.
Melinda Horton Harris filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the Madison County Circuit Court against L.C. Lobdell and Rosalind Lindsey alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, Harris alleges that on Oct. 6, 2015, she was a passenger in Lindsey's vehicle and was traveling near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and Cass Street. The suit states Lindsey changed lanes and collided with Lobdell's vehicle. As a result, Harris claims she suffered physical injuries, loss of normal life and she became liable to pay for medical bills.
The plaintiff holds Lobdell and Lindsey responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to reduce speed, failed to warn the other driver of an imminent collision, failed to keep a proper lookout and drove to fast for the conditions.
The plaintiff seeks judgment for an amount of more than $50,000 and for costs of action. She is represented by Michael P. Glisson and Timothy J. Chartrand of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
