AERCO International Inc., others named in suit over allegations of damages from asbestos exposure

Asbestos 05

BELLEVILLE – A couple has filed suit against several companies over allegations that exposure to asbestos has caused a man's cancer.

Harry Parker and Anne Marie Parker filed a complaint on Sept. 22 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against AERCO International Inc., ALFA Laval Inc., Armstrong Pumps Inc., Aurora Pump Co., et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that between 1952 and 2017, Harry Parker served in the military and was employed as a truck driver. They allege he was exposed to large amounts of asbestos fibers emanating from certain products distributed or installed by the defendants. As a result, he was diagnosed with lung cancer on June 12 and wife Annie Marie Parker as well as other family members allege they have been deprived of his companionship, society and services.

The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly including asbestos in their products, even though it was completely foreseeable and that they should have known that asbestos fibers are highly dangerous to the health of persons working around them.

The plaintiffs seek judgment of more than $50,000, which will fairly and reasonably compensate them for the injuries. They are represented by Randy L. Gori of Gori, Julian & Associates PC in Edwardsville.
