Semi crash 04

EDWARDSVILLE – A motorist is suing a tractor-trailer driver following a collision on Interstate 70 in Madison County.

Ricardo Hernandez-Garcia filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Gradimir Mladenovic, Woodland Transport LLC and West Logistics Inc., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Hernandez-Garcia alleges that on Sept. 28, 2015, he was driving his Chevrolet Impala in a westerly direction in the right lane of Interstate 70 when his vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by Mladnevic. The defendant was employed by Woodland Transport LLC at the time of the incident. The 2010 Freightline tractor-trailer used was owned by West Logistics, the suit states.

As a result, Hernandez-Garcia claims he suffered physical injuries, loss of normal life and disfigurement.

The plaintiff alleges Mladenovic operated the tractor-trailer at a speed greater than was reasonable and failed to keep the tractor-trailer under control.

The plaintiff seeks judgment in a sum of more than $50,000, together with costs of suit, and such other further relief as justice may require.

He is represented by Michael T. Blotevogel of Armbruster, Dripps, Winterscheidt & Blotevogel LLC in Maryville.
