Driver seeks more than $50,000 after Galesburg collision

Car accident 34

EDWARDSVILLE – A man alleges he was injured after the trailer he was pulling and his vehicle was struck by another driver in Galesburg.

Barry Osgood filed a complaint on Sept. 13 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Dustin Johnson alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Osgood alleges that on Sept. 26, 2015, he was driving eastbound on East Carl Sandburg Drive when defendant's vehicle rear-ended his trailer and vehicle, causing a collision. As a result, Osgood claims he suffered physical injuries, became liable for medical expenses and sustained disability.

The plaintiff holds Johnson responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep proper lookout for other automobiles on the public street, failed to give proper signal or sound of horn and failed to reduce speed.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for an equitable sum of more than $50,000 together with costs of action. He is represented by Michael P. Glisson of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
