BELLEVILLE — A restaurant employee is suing a White Castle and her supervisor for allegedly sharing without authorization a video of her getting burned and removing clothing.

Savanna Ankeny filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against White Castle and Jakaria Riddle, alleging they shared a private video to third parties without consent.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 22, 2016, she became aware that Riddle was sharing a video recording of her being burned and removing her pants while in the course of her employment with White Castle.

As a result, she claims she suffered mental anguish, loss of normal life and lost wages.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants shared the video depicting both a horrible injury and the removing of clothing without any consent or authorization.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in an amount not less $50,000, plus punitive damages, and any other relief the court deems appropriate.

She is represented by Keith Short and Jack Daugherty of Law Office of Keith Short, PC in Collinsville.
