Woman alleges injures after rear-end collision near Bethalto

Car accident 24

EDWARDSVILLE – A Madison County motorist alleges she was injured when she was rear-ended by a Macoupin County man near Bethalto.

Michele L. Depper filed a complaint on Aug. 10 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Jason Louis Barber alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 13, 2015, she was driving eastbound on Illinois Route 140 when Barber struck the back of her vehicle.

As a result, Depper claims she suffered physical injuries and incurred substantial medical bills.

The plaintiff alleges Barber failed to keep a proper lookout, drove his vehicle in a reckless and careless manner and failed to reduce speed in order to avoid a collision.

She is represented by Scott D. Bjorseth and David A. Schott of Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion LLC in Edwardsville.
