Walmart shopper alleges woman backed into him in Glen Carbon parking lot

EDWARDSVILLE – A pedestrian alleges he was struck by a vehicle and injured in a Walmart parking lot.

Darrell Wilson filed a complaint on Aug. 1 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Amy Nunn alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 18, 2016, he was walking in the Glen Carbon Walmart parking lot when he was struck by Nunn's vehicle as she was attempting to back up  to exit her parking space.

As a result, Wilson claims he sustained serious physical injuries, mental anguish and became liable for medical and hospital bills.

The plaintiff alleges Nunn failed to check her rear-view mirror, failed look over her right shoulder or check her backup camera and failed to ensure that she could back her vehicle up with safety.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in a sum of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit, and any other relief the court deems appropriate.

He is represented by Steven E. Katzman of Katzman & Sugden LLC in Belleville.
