BELLEVILLE – A Belleville woman is suing a Columbia driver for allegedly causing a collision on state Route 159.
Ashley L. Diehl filed a complaint on July 18 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against John Kizhakedan, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 21, 2015, the defendant allegedly came into her lane of traffic and struck the front of her vehicle.
As a result, Diehl claims she suffered physical injuries and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Kizhakedan failed to keep a proper lookout ahead and laterally, failed to give or sound any signal of warning of the approach, movement, turn or proximity of his vehicle and failed to reduce speed to avoid a collision.
The plaintiff seeks judgment in an amount of more than $50,000, costs and expenses incurred and for such other and further relief as the court deems appropriate.
She is represented by Justin C. Wilson and Bradley L. Elkin of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
