Woman alleges driver caused Alton crash

Car accident 14

EDWARDSVILLE — A driver is suing another motorist for allegedly causing an Alton collision.

Beth A. Jones filed a complaint on June 8 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Richard B. Rauckman, alleging he failed to use ordinary care in the operation of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 11, 2015, while driving in Alton, Rauckman's vehicle crashed into the plaintiff's vehicle.

As a result, Jones claims she suffered injuries resulting in disability, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Rauckman failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to properly apply brakes and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in excess of $50,000, plus costs of action and whatever remedy this court deems appropriate.

She is represented by Gregory M. Tobin of Pratt and Tobin PC in East Alton.
