EDWARDSVILLE — A passenger is suing the driver of the car he was riding in, alleging negligence for causing a crash that injured him.
Ronald Green filed a complaint on May 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Brittany Williams, alleging she failed to operate her motor vehicle in a reasonably safe manner.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 30, 2015, he was riding as a passenger in a motor vehicle being driven by Williams when she allegedly collided with the front end of another motor vehicle being operated by Gerald Asbury at the intersection of Washington Avenue and East Broadway.
As a result, Green claims he suffered physical injuries, severe pain and mental anguish and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Williams failed to keep and maintain a constant, careful and vigilant watch and lookout and failed to stop the vehicle, slacken the speed and give sound warning.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for an amount in excess of $50,000, together with costs and further relief to which the court deems just and proper.
He is represented by Mary Lemp and Daniel G. Broombaugh of McAllister Law Firm LLC in St. Louis.
