BELLEVILLE — An O'Fallon property owner is suing a Patriot Sunrooms for allegedly providing poor construction.

Tevis Marie Sharp filed a complaint on April 19 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Patriot Sunrooms East LLC, alleging the defendant failed to perform its required work under a written contract agreement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 15, 2015, she entered into a contract with the defendant in which Patriot Sunrooms agreed to construct and install sunroom enclosures on her property.

Sharp agreed to make periodic payments under the contract, totaling the approximate sum of $90,768 and has already paid $88,768. However, she claims she received a poor construction of the sunrooms.

As a result, Sharp claims she spent at least another $78,497 to hire another contractor to complete, repair and replace the old construction.

The plaintiff alleges Patriot Sunrooms failed to properly install and construct the sunrooms, which caused a regular leak of water into the interior when it rained; failed to install and construct an exterior staircase in a workmanlike manner; and failed to properly pour a concrete pad for an exterior deck in a workmanlike manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages, together with pre- and post-judgment interest, and such other and further relief as the court deems just and proper.

She is represented by John G. Beseau of Herzog Crebs LLP in St. Louis.
