BELLEVILLE — A patient is suing a hospital and doctor., claiming he was harmed in an implant surgery gone wrong.
Daryl Moore filed a complaint on April 17 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Touchette Regional Hospital Inc., doing business as Archview Medical Specialists, and Robert Prophete M.D., alleging Prophete erred in placing the implant during surgery.
According to the complaint, Moore claims Prophete failed to follow the manufacturer's recommendations regarding implantation and negligently misplaced the implant during surgery.
The plaintiff alleges he sustained severe and permanent injuries resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of earning capacity and significant medical-related expenses.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit.
