BELLEVILLE — A passenger is suing two drivers for allegedly causing an April 2015 collision on Cedar Drive in St. Clair County.
Joseph Baker filed a complaint on April 4 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Dustin Stone and William Presson, alleging they failed in their duty to use reasonable care and caution while driving for the safety of others.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 12, 2015, he was a passenger in a vehicle being driven by Stone traveling northbound on Cedar Drive into the intersection of Pleasant Ridge Road when their vehicle collided with the vehicle being driven by Presson.
As a result, Baker claims he suffered physical injuries, lost wages and medical bills.
The plaintiff alleges Stone and Presson failed to keep proper lookout, failed to properly apply brakes and failed to follow local and state traffic laws.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for an amount in excess of $50,000 together with costs and for any other relief the court deems just and proper.
He is represented by Thomas E. Schwartz and Justin D. Guerra of Holloran Schwartz and Gaertner LLP in St. Louis.
