BELLEVILLE — A driver is suing another motorist for allegedly causing a collision while attempting to turn.
Joanne Richter-Hill filed a complaint on March 16 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Gary Groom, alleging the defendant failed to follow traffic rules to avoid an accident.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 16, 2015, her vehicle was struck while driving at a green traffic light on IL-13 and 16-West.
As a result, Richter-Hill claims she suffered severe physical injuries, loss wages and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Groom failed to keep his motor vehicle under proper control, failed to his keep his vehicle in its proper lane of traffic and failed to make a proper turn.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for such sum more than $50,000 plus cost of suit and other further relief the court deems just and appropriate.
