BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing another motorist for allegedly causing a rear-end collision on Interstate 270.
Sarah P. Craig filed a complaint on March 14 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Joshua D. Yates, alleging he failed to exercise due care and caution in the operation and control of his vehicle.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 26, 2015, while traveling west on Interstate 270, the defendant struck the rear of her vehicle.
As a result, Craig claims she suffered great deal of pain, anguish and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff alleges Yates failed to give audible warning with the horn, failed to keep vehicle under proper and sufficient control and failed to keep a proper lookout for other vehicles present.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages greater than $50,000 plus her costs of suit and any other further relief the court deems proper and just.
She is represented by Mark C. Scoggins of Crowder and Scoggins, LTD in Columbia.
