Mother, children allege injuries from collision

Car accident 27

EDWARDSVILLE — A woman claims she and her children were injured in a collision on Collinsville Road.

Katia Rebollar, individually and as next friend for the minor children Anthony and Chris Mosqueda, filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Laura Tosi, alleging she failed to maintain proper control of her vehicle under the existing condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 6, 2016, she and her two children were passengers in a motor vehicle traveling westbound on Collinsville Road near its intersection with Sand Prairie Lane when Tosi allegedly struck their vehicle.

As a result of the collision, plaintiffs sustained injuries and have incurred medical and hospital expenses.

The plaintiffs allege the defendant failed to yield right of way, failed to obey a traffic signal and failed to keep careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus her costs for this suit and such other relief as the court deems just and proper.

She is represented by Gonzalo Fernandez of Devereaux, Stokes, Fernandez & Leonardo PC in St. Louis.
