Man blames Granite City motorist for crash

Car accident 28

EDWARDSVILLE — A man from Pontoon Beach is suing a Granite City motorist for allegedly causing a collision.

Glen E. Wilson filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in Madison County Circuit Court against Judith McDaniel, alleging the Granite City motorist violated traffic rules.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 5, 2015, he was lawfully operating his motor vehicle, traveling eastbound on 20th Street approaching Grand Avenue in Granite City, when the defendant carelessly drove her vehicle in the intersection and struck his vehicle.

As a result, Wilson claims he sustained personal injuries and property damage.

The plaintiff alleges McDaniel failed to yield to oncoming traffic and allegedly breached her duty to exercise due care and caution for the safety of others.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit.

He is represented by A. Ryan Jumper of Callis, Papa & Szewczyk PC in Granite City.
