EDWARDSVILLE – For a fourth consecutive year, Todd Sivia has been named to the Super Lawyers list of 2017 Rising Stars.

Sivia is managing partner of Edwardsville-based Sivia Business & Legal Services, an asset-protection law firm that mainly focuses on general business law, real estate, estate planning, probate and elder law.

The annual list is compiled by Super Lawyers, a rating service of legal professionals. All peer-nominated candidates undergo the group’s selection process, which includes independent research and peer evaluations.

As part of the review, candidates are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.

To be eligible for the honor, Rising Star nominees must be under 40 years of age or in practice for less than 10 years. According to Super Lawyers, no more than the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state are named to the annual Rising Stars list.

Sivia said it is “humbling” to be selected the past three years for this recognition.

“I’m honored to be recognized by my peers and value this distinction,” he said in a statement. “I hope this is a reflection of not just me but of all the attorneys at our firm and their commitment to providing innovative services and trusted solutions to our clients.”

Sivia and his firm both marked 10 years in 2016.

Sivia continues to implement new techniques and problem-solving solutions to help businesses achieve all aspects of their professional and planning goals, gaining it additional recognition for its innovation.

In 2014, Sivia was first selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star. He received the honor again in 2015, 2016 and this year. The firm is a member of the Macoupin County, Jersey County and Madison County bar associations. It also is a part of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Sivia is a member of Edwardsville Rotary, Edwardsville-Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce, National Rifle Association and Scouting.
