Car accident 37

EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a collision.

Edward Giese filed a complaint on Jan. 3, in the Madison County Circuit Court against Prasanth Mandalapu, alleging he failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 20, 2016, he was operating a motor vehicle traveling westbound on St. Louis Street near its intersection with West Street when Mandalapu, who was driving from the opposite direction, negligently turned left in front of Giese's vehicle. The plaintiff claims the vehicles collided, causing him to sustain serious injuries to his neck, back, shoulder and other parts of the body.

The plaintiff alleges Mandalapu negligently made an improper turn, failed to keep careful lookout and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in excess of $50,000, plus costs of this suit.

He is represented by Ronald A. Roth of Roth Law Offices LLC in Granite City.
