EDWARDSVILLE – A Maryville man claims he was injured in an accident at an intersection in Collinsville.
Anthony Rodriguez filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Kerlando Rodgers alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 19, 2015, he was operating a motor vehicle traveling northbound on Hesperia Street in Collinsville. The suit states that while he had the right of way traveling through an intersection, the defendant struck his vehicle.
As a result, he claims he sustained injuries and suffered medical expenses and disability.
The plaintiff alleges Rodgers failed to yield right of way, failed to maintain proper lookout and drove the vehicle at an excessive speed.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation of more than $200,000, plus costs for this action and such further relief as the court deems just and proper. He is represented by George H. Albers of Roth Law Offices LLC in Granite City.
