Car accident 30

EDWARDSVILLE — A driver is suing another motorist for allegedly running a red light and causing a collision in Wood River.

Tommie Myers filed a complaint on Nov. 7 in Madison County Circuit Court against Edward Anderson, alleging the defendant failed to keep his vehicle under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 21, 2015, she was driving her motor vehicle southbound on 6th Street near its intersection with Edwardsville Road in Wood River when the defendant allegedly ran a red light and hit her vehicle.

As a result, Myers claims she suffered head and bodily injuries that resulted in disability, loss of normal life and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges Anderson failed to maintain proper lookout, failed to stop his vehicle in a timely manner and failed to obey traffic control signals.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for an equitable sum exceeding $50,000, plus costs for this action.

He is represented by Michael P. Glisson and Timothy J. Chartrand of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
