BELLEVILLE – A Freeburg man alleges he was injured in a collision with a Belleville resident.
Alexander T. Smith filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against McKenna G. Loving alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 5, 2014, he was operating a motor vehicle traveling in a northerly direction on South Illinois Street in Belleville when the defendant struck the rear of his vehicle, causing him injuries and damages.
The plaintiff alleges he suffered physical and mental pain, loss of income, loss of normal life and incurred medical expenses.
The plaintiff holds Loving responsible because the defendant allegedly drove her vehicle faster than was reasonable, failed to maintain careful lookout and failed to yield right of way.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation for damages for a fair and just award of more than $50,000, plus costs of suit. He is represented by Jon E. Rosenstengel of Law Offices of Bonifield & Rosenstengel PC in Belleville.
