EDWARDSVILLE — A lender is suing two Madison County residents for allegedly failing to pay a loan.
Grace Armstrong, a resident of Arnold, Mo, filed a complaint on Oct. 7 in Madison County Circuit Court against Katherine and Bernd Wood, alleging they failed to comply with their loan agreement.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she advanced funds to the Woods with a promise from the defendants that they would repay the loaned amount within a reasonable time, which they have allegedly failed to do.
To date, the total amount of $225,109.99 remains uncollected, the suit alleges.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, jointly and severally, in the amount of $225,109.99, plus interest, costs of suit and such other relief as the court deems just.
