EDWARDSVILLE — A Missouri company is suing its former bookkeeper, alleging fraud and unjust enrichment of more than $86,000.

Vintage Vinyl Inc. filed a lawsuit Sept. 15 in Madison County Circuit Court against the estate of Dolores Scott and Deborah Wallace, Vintage's former bookkeeper,  alleging violation of the fundamental principles of justice, equity and good conscience.

According to the complaint, Vintage Vinyl suffered monetary damages for losing funds in an amount of more than $86,000. The plaintiff alleges Wallace took and unlawfully converted the plaintiff's funds by withdrawing them from its accounts, failed to return the funds and continually withheld or transferred such funds to another party.

Vintage Vinyl seeks trial by jury, exemplary damages of $100,000, plus statutory interest, costs of suit and all other relief. It is represented by attorney George H. Albers of Roth Law Offices LLC in Granite City.
