Belleville driver blames two other motorists for causing injuries

Car accident 22

BELLEVILLE — A Belleville motorist is suing two other drivers, alleging their negligence led to the plaintiff sustaining serious injuries.

Marshall F. Conner filed a lawsuit Aug. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Nathaniel E. Fox and Christopher A. Bush, alleging Fox failed to control his vehicle to avoid a chain reaction collision.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 26, 2014, Conner was stopped at a stoplight on Frank Scott Parkway near Bellville Crossing when suddenly Fox's vehicle was struck by the vehicle being driven by Bush. This collision, the suit says, caused Fox's vehicle to become airborne and collide with Conner's vehicle, causing great damage to Conner's car and injuries to the plaintiff's knee, back, neck and other parts of his body.

The plaintiff alleges Fox drove his vehicle at a speed greater than reasonable and failed to stop his vehicle at the traffic control device displaying a red light.

Conner seeks trial by jury, compensation of more than $50,000 and costs of suit. He is represented by attorney Rhonda D. Fiss of Belleville.
