Customer alleges Ford Motor Credit owes more than $50,000

Contract 05

BELLEVILLE — An Illinois resident is suing Ford Motor Credit, alleging failure to perform its obligations under the contract.

Jeffrey Burcham filed a class action lawsuit, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated July 13, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Ford Motor Credit Company LLC, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Burcham has been damaged in the amount of $150 plus costs and fees in obtaining the certificate of title for a 2006 Ford Fusion SE. The plaintiff alleges Ford Motor Credit failed to release the security interest for his 2006 Ford Fusion SE after a former security interest was satisfied.

Burcham seeks a trial by jury, damages of more than $50,000 and such other relief the court deems appropriate. He is represented by attorney Shari L. Murphy of The Law Offices of Shari L. Murphy in Wood River.
