Driver says rear-end crash left him injured

Car accident 42

EDWARDSVILLE — A driver is suing a Madison County woman over injuries he allegedly suffered in a rear-end collision.

Albert H. Walton, of Madison County, filed a lawsuit May 6 in Madison County Circuit Court against Leona H. Peskar, alleging negligence.

On May 13, 2015, according to the suit, Walton was driving a 2001 Toyota Tacoma northbound on Highway 157 in Collinsville when he was rear-ended by Peskar's 2007 Lincoln MKX, causing Walton's vehicle to collide with the rear of a third vehicle.

The suit alleges Peskar was negligent in failing to keep her vehicle under proper control, speeding, and failing to keep a safe distance, among other negligent acts or omissions.

As a result, Walton allegedly suffered injuries, pain, and anguish, and has incurred medical expenses.

Walton seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit. He is represented by attorney Steven Giacoletto of Giacoletto Law Firm in Collinsville.
