Attorney Stephen M. Strum, partner with Sandberg Phoenix & von Gontard, has joined the mediation panel at United States Arbitration & Mediation, USA&M, in St. Louis.
Strum focuses his practice in the defense of product manufacturers and nursing homes.
He has experience defending product manufacturers in injury cases involving passenger cars, sport utility vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, go-carts, lawnmowers, electrical circuitry, exercise equipment and wheelchairs, among others.
He also has experience representing nursing homes in claims involving patient care litigation, risk management and allegations of fraud.
Strum is trained and certified in dispute resolution, arbitration and mediation. He received his certification from Northwestern University, School of Professional Studies in Chicago.
He also received Advanced Mediator Training at USA&M and has completed Advanced Mediation Training for Court Certified ADR Neutrals for the U.S. District Court in January.
Strum earned his B.A. from the University of Illinois at Champaign in 1985 and his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law in 1988.
