In a recent meeting, the County Institutions Committee for Madison County, Illinois, assessed reports from the Education Office, Mental Health Office and Historical Museum.

Dr. Daiber reported from the Education Office, telling committee members to call his office if they would like to attend compliance visits. The doctor also noted that 873 homeless students were served in October.

For the Mental Health Office, Ms. Roth revealed that the Illinois Issues Mental Health Care Cuts threaten the access handout. She also informed the committee of the last Mental Health Board meeting for 2015 and noted that the Youth Mental Health First Aid Training went well the week prior.

Ms. Dietrich of the Historical Museum gave out the budget expenditure analysis for the Museum. She also mentioned that the Court House 100 Year Dining in History event ran smoothly.

A monthly report was provided to the meeting by the Veteran’s Office, but no one spoke on its behalf. Child Advocacy was absent from this meeting.

Also of note at the meeting was the approval of all bills from the prior month.
